What do I do after a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)?
If you have recently been injured in a car accident, it is important to contact your auto insurance provider to file the report and get the claim started. Once you have done this, there are forms that you require to complete if you intend to pursue third party services and these will be sent by your insurance company. Please then contact This is Healthful to make an appointment with the appropriate healthcare professional. On your first visit, we will evaluate your function, any other limitations of concern, pain, severity of injury, and prescribe the appropriate treatment program. We can help with most aspects of the process, including filling out paper work or advice on claim submission as required.
How do I pay for my treatments?
Under the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO), you must exhaust your workplace extended health insurance benefits prior to your auto insurance being used. If you do not have extended health benefits through your workplace, or have exhausted these benefits, your auto insurance will fully cover the remainder of your treatment often for a minimum of 12 weeks.
Please use our MVA Checkoff Form to help get you started.
